Biography

Prof. Chongzhao Wu is an Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received B.S. degree from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 2010 and Ph.D. degree from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, US in 2016. He performed postdoctoral research at Columbia University, New York, US. His research interests include terahertz and mid-infrared photonics, biophotonics, imaging and sensing, metasurfaces and optoelectronic devices, advanced photonics technology integrated with medical robotics and biomedical applications. He has published in journals such as Optica, APL Photonics, Nature, Nature Communications, Optics Express, and presented on CLEO, IEEE Photonics Conference, SPIE Photonics West, IQCLSW. His research has been reported by Science Daily, Phys.org, Optics and Photonics News, US National Science Foundation (NSF). He is the recipient of Baker Institute Innovation Prize, Packard Fellowship, SPIE Travel Award, Rossin Doctoral Fellow, Sherman Fairchild Fellowship for Solid State Studies and Forbes Under 30 in China 2019. He is the PI of the research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Shanghai, Shanghai Young Scholar Sailing Foundation, Guangqi Young Scholar Foundation, SJTU-STAR Medical-Engineering Foundation, National Infrastructures for Translational Medicine Research Program, Fundamental Research and Innovation Funding Program.
