Biography

Dr. Liu graduated with a Bachelor's from East China University of Science and Technology in 2010 and earned a Ph.D. from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2015, then spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at Washington State University. Transitioning to the role of Staff Scientist at Washington State University from 2018 to 2020, he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021 as an Assistant Researcher and later advanced to the position of Associate Researcher in 2023. Specializing in artificial muscles, soft robotics materials, and bioelasticity, Dr. Liu has published over 60 SCI papers in reputable journals and holds more than 10 patents. Notable contributions include leadership and collaboration on various projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government. Recognized for their achievements, Dr. Liu was selected for the prestigious Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program in 2021, highlighting their dedication to advancing biomedical engineering.
