Biography

Dr. Hong Xu is a Professor of School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received “CJ Special Scholar Award” in 2020. Her research interests include preparation of composite nanoparticles with precisely controllable structures and functions as well as development of ultrasensitive and multiplexed bio-detection based on micro-nano technology. Dr. Xu has abundant experiences in design and preparation of functional microspheres for in vitro diagnosis due to her deep understanding in surface modification of nanomaterials at molecule level. In recent years, she has successfully transformed more than 20 patents achievements to clinic practice, published over 80 academic papers including JACS, Adv. Mater., ACS Nano, Adv.Funct. Mater. , Small, Chem. Mater. et al.
