Biography

Li Heng obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in June 2018. He has been involved in multiple national key R&D programs and industry-sponsored research projects. He has authored/co-authored over 40 academic papers in internationally renowned journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Neurocomputing, IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Information Sciences, Journal of Neural Engineering, Brain Stimulation, and the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, among which more than 20 are first-author or corresponding-author papers. He has applied for 11 national invention patents (6 granted) and holds 6 software copyrights. As an associate editor, he contributed to the compilation of the Ministry of Education's planned textbook Rehabilitation Science and Technology Series: Visual and Auditory Function Rehabilitation Engineering—Assistive and Alternative Technologies. He has received several honors, including the National First Prize and Excellent Instructor Award in the First National Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Scenario Competition (2023), the "Award for Excellence" (Ranked 1st) in the First National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2021), the SJTU Outstanding Graduate Award (2018), and the National PhD Scholarship (2017). He served as an Alumni Council Member for the 2018 PhD graduates of the SJTU School of Biomedical Engineering, is a member of IEEE, and a committee member of the Shanghai Biomedical Engineering Professional Committee. He also serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, and conferences such as AAAI.
