Shanghai, February 23, 2024 - The inauguration ceremony of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Medical Chip Research Institute and the Medical Chip Innovation and Transformation Center took place with grandeur at the Caohejing Development Zone. Attendees included Wu Hong, Director of the Health Administration and Medical Management Division of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission; Chen Jiangping, Party Secretary of the School of Biomedical Engineering at SJTU; Yu Wei, Deputy Director of the Xuhui District Science and Technology Committee; Xue Han, Assistant General Manager of Caohejing Management Company; Gao Weiqiang, Professor of the Wang Kuancheng Chair and Director of the MED-X Research Institute at SJTU; Gu Hongchen, Vice Dean and Distinguished Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering; Sun Jianqi, Vice Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering; Qian Dahong, Long-Term Professor, and Director of the Institute of Advanced Medical Chips, among others.

Wu Hong delivered the opening speech, congratulating the formal establishment of the Medical Chip Innovation and Transformation Center.

Chen Jiangping briefly reviewed the development history and achievements of the School of Biomedical Engineering at SJTU.
