Courses are the core element of talent cultivation, and course quality directly determines the quality of talent development. How can we improve undergraduate course design in line with the construction goals of first-class courses? This Teaching Forum invites Mr. Yu Jianbo from the Academic Affairs Office to provide a detailed explanation of how to align with first-class courses in course design and teaching plan development.

About the Speaker

Yu Jianbo currently serves as the Head of Online Course Construction at the Academic Affairs Office of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he is primarily responsible for the application and promotion of online courses, as well as organizing blended teaching workshops for faculty.

• 2002–2007: Worked on experimental teaching informatization at the SJTU Physics Experimental Center, where he launched the Open Learning System (OLS).

• 2007–2011: Responsible for the construction of the SJTU Course Center (http://cc.sjtu.edu.cn).

• 2011–2013: Responsible for the construction of SJTU's open learning platform "Nanyang Xuetang" (http://ocw.sjtu.edu.cn).

• 2013–2017: Served as Assistant Director and Dean's Assistant at the SJTU MOOC Promotion Office and MOOC Research Institute, contributing to the development of the "Haodaxue Online" platform (http://www.cnmooc.org).

• 2018–present: Responsible for the application, construction, and accreditation of online courses and first-class courses at the SJTU Academic Affairs Office.
