On the afternoon of April 12, the inaugural meeting of the Medical Machinery Branch of the SJTU Alumni Association and the Medical Device Development Summit Forum were held on the Xuhui campus. Prof. ZHANG Ansheng, Vice President of SJTU, Academician CHEN Yazhu, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Instrumentation, SJTU, alumni representative of the medical device industry, SJTU alumni associations, School of Biomedical Engineering, School of Life Science and Biotechnology, School of Pharmacy and other related departments and faculty and students Representatives gathered at their alma mater to discuss strategies for industry innovation and development, and draw a blueprint for a healthy future development. The meeting was hosted by alumni CAI Qiaowu.

The SJTU Medical Machinery Branch is the seventh Branch under the guidance of the Shanghai Jiaotong University Alumni Association. The branch will rely on the strengths of its alma mater's life sciences, biomedical, pharmacy, medicine and other related disciplines and talents to gather the alumni power in the medical device industry. This branch is also committed to promoting exchanges between alumni in medical devices and other related fields, giving full play to cross-industry advantages and making greater contributions to the development of the medical device industry.
