On April 9, 2025, the 2025 Alumni Event of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Medical Device Alumni Association was successfully held in Xuhui District, Shanghai. Over 80 attendees participated in the event, including Minghe Cheng, Honorary President of the Medical Device Alumni Association; Hao Zhang, President; Yinghua Zhou, Executive President; Xiyao Gu, Director of the Alumni Association Office; Xiaoxiang Yan, Director of the Technology Transfer Office of SJTU School of Medicine; Lingti Kong, Party Secretary of the School of Biomedical Engineering; Hongen Liao, Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering; Chunling Zhu, Deputy Party Secretary of the School; Yue Chen, Deputy Director of the Alumni Association Office; and alumni representatives of the Medical Device Alumni Association. The event was hosted by Ye Wang, Deputy Secretary-General.

At the beginning of the event, Xiyao Gu delivered a speech, reviewing the entrepreneurial journey of SJTU alumni striving in the medical device field and highly commending their outstanding contributions in driving development through innovation and serving people's livelihoods through technology. He noted that these achievements not only demonstrate the spirit of SJTU people "remembering the source when drinking water" but also exemplify their innovative commitment to "daring to be the first". Lingti Kong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school, highlighting the school's recent developments and achievements. He emphasized that these accomplishments would not have been possible without the strong support of alumni and expressed anticipation for deeper collaboration with alumni enterprises in areas such as industry-academia-research collaborative innovation and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.

Minghe Cheng, Hao Zhang, and Yinghua Zhou each took the stage to deliver speeches. They shared their development journeys and valuable experiences in the medical device industry, expressed their best wishes for the future development of the Alumni Association, and proposed the establishment of a regular alumni cooperation platform. Through technology sharing, resource matching, and joint research, they called for uniting SJTU's strength to break through key industry technological bottlenecks and jointly write a new chapter in the high-quality development of China's medical device industry. Hangdao Li, Secretary-General, reported on the work of the Medical Device Alumni Association over the past year. He detailed the positive role the Association has played in supporting alumni startup projects, facilitating industry resource connections, and pooling SJTU alumni resources.

Xiaoxiang Yan introduced the technology transfer efforts of the School of Medicine. He elaborated on the school's research achievements and transfer projects in the medical device field, demonstrating the university's strong capabilities in advancing medical technology innovation and providing abundant cooperation opportunities for alumni. Jianhe Wei, Director of the Technology Transfer Office of the School of Biomedical Engineering, presented SJTU's policies on the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements as well as the school's progress in medical-engineering translation, encouraging alumni to actively participate in the university's research projects and jointly promote innovation and development in the medical device industry.

Zhu Meng from Pure Drug Certification shared insights on the application of localized networks combined with AI agents in the globalization of medical devices. She detailed how this cutting-edge technology can reduce costs and improve efficiency for medical device enterprises, showcasing the boundless possibilities of digital transformation in the medical device industry. Guangxin Li from DFJ DragonFund China introduced the new investment concept of Token Economy. He explained the advantages and application prospects of this innovative investment model in an accessible manner, offering alumni new investment perspectives and opportunities, which sparked lively discussions among the attendees.

This event was not only a gathering for SJTU alumni but also a significant occasion for the medical device industry. Through this event, alumni deepened their connections and understanding of one another, enhancing the cohesion and influence of the Alumni Association. It is believed that with the collective efforts of all alumni, the SJTU Medical Device Alumni Association will continue to grow and make even greater contributions to the development of the university and the advancement of the medical device industry.
