Abstract:
The application of imaging technology, artificial intelligence, and surgical robotics technology in the medical field will overcome the limitations of human capabilities, innovate treatment methods, and promote modern medicine toward intelligence and precision. This Report will introduce the common technologies and research development trends of intelligent image navigation and orthopedic surgical robots from my personal perspective. I hope to be enlightened by graduate students who are engaged in related fields.
Biography:
Guoyan Zheng is a Full Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering, and the Director of the Center for Image-guided Therapy and Interventions (CITI), Institute of Medical Robotics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. His primary research interests are in the application of medical image computing (Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision and Image Analysis) and computer assisted intervention to problems relevant to medical diagnosis and surgical interventions. He is particularly interested in methods for medical image registration, segmentation and reconstruction from sparse data, computer assisted lesion detection and disease diagnosis, as well as image-guided therapy and medical robotics.
