Time:22nd July 13:30-15:00
Location: 311 WenXuan, Minhang Campus
Real-time biochemical sensing technologies based on colorimetric, fluorescent, and photonic crystal platforms are enabling a paradigm shift in clinical diagnostics and point-of-care healthcare. In this seminar, Yetisen will present recent advances in the engineering of photonic biosensors that enable quantitative detection of clinically relevant biomarkers across wearable, implantable, and in vitro diagnostic systems. These technologies offer high sensitivity, multiplexing capabilities, and compatibility with smartphone-based spectrophotometric readouts for low -cost and scalable deployment. Pilot clinical studies will be discussed to demonstrate translational potential in metabolic, inflammatory, and neurological monitoring. The presentation will also address pathways to commercialization, including regulatory considerations and the development of startup companies aimed at delivering personalized and proactive medical diagnostics.
