"Basic Research and Innovation Cultivation Program" Meeting

On the morning of July 9, the final acceptance meeting of the "Basic Research and Innovation Cultivation Program" of the School of Biomedical Engineering was held in the conference room on the first floor of the Med-X Research Institute. The meeting was chaired by Professor Gu Hongchen. Professor Du Yiping served as the expert group leader, and members of the Scientific Research and Innovation Subcommittee of our institute served as review experts

At the meeting, the five project leaders Ding Xianting, He Hao, Zhang Chunfu, Xu Hong, and Lin Guanning funded by the second phase of the “Basic Research and Innovation Cultivation Program” of our institute gave wonderful reports on their respective projects in turn. From the overall situation of the project, A detailed closing statement was made in the four aspects of project completion, highlights, problems and suggestions, and the project results were highlighted. The review experts asked and evaluated the innovation, implementation, and output of the project, and finally agreed that 5 projects passed the final acceptance and gave the evaluation level of each project.

The "Basic Research and Innovation Cultivation Program" aims to provide "sending charcoal in the snow" type of support for research projects with original ideas but difficult to start due to lack of funds, emphasizing the originality and importance of the research ideas, and guiding the teachers of the college to develop courageously High-risk, original research, especially breakthrough research from 0 to 1. Up to now, the 10 projects that have been completed and accepted have produced a batch of important academic results. A total of 13 papers have been published in IF>10 international high-level journals such as Cell Research, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Small, etc. There are 16 key research and development projects, general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 16 projects funded by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and 5 talents above the provincial and ministerial level such as the Yangtze River Scholars, the Excellent Youth, and the Venus Program.
