On September 11, the opening ceremony of the 2021 freshmen of the School of Biomedical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was successfully held in the lecture hall of the Wenxuan Medical Building. Yang Guangzhong, Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering, Jin Xuejun, Executive Vice Dean, and other college party and government leaders, freshmen class teachers, academic affairs teachers, and all 2021 freshmen undergraduates, masters and doctors attended the ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Meng Xiangqi, deputy secretary of the party committee.

At the beginning of the conference, Dean Yang Guangzhong delivered a speech for the opening ceremony. This year, the college publicly selected 5 young talents to serve as class advisers for the 2021 freshmen. Teachers Feng Yuan and Gu Bobo acted as postgraduate class advisers, and Mr. Shen Feng, Wu Chongchao, and Zhang Zhiyong acted as undergraduate class advisers. Jin Xuejun, executive vice president, issued letters of appointment to the five teachers.

Teacher Feng Yuan spoke at the meeting as a representative of the class teacher. In the speech session of the freshman representative, Li Jiaxi expressed on behalf of the freshman graduate students that he would be committed to academics and pursue intensive research.
