On September 21, 2022, China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan Office released "2022 China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan High starting point new journal project selection project", Shanghai Jiao Tong University sponsored Med-X (Chinese name "health, medicine and industry crossover and exploration") journal was successfully selected.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University is launching a new open-access journal entitled "Med-X" in partnership with Springer-Nature. The inaugural issue will be published in January 2023.

Med-X will be an open-access journal that publishes high impact and ground-breaking research work in the field of Biomedical Engineering. The journal aims to provide an international and interdisciplinary platform for the communications of the latest scientific discoveries and technology innovations. Med-X encompasses broad topics of bioengineering and biotechnology at the frontiers of diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, and prevention of human diseases for the improvement of human health and well-being, including：
