The Successful Opening of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical Semiconductor Seminar and the Inaugural Meeting of the Institute of Advanced Medical Chips in the School of Biomedical Engineering

On May 6th, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical Semiconductor Seminar and the Inaugural Meeting of the Institute of Advanced Medical Chips in the School of Biomedical Engineering were successfully held at the Engineering Building No. 100 on the Xuhui campus. The conference invited nearly 200 participants, including experts and scholars from the industry, renowned domestic and international corporate investors, alumni, and student representatives. Chen Jiangping, Meng Xiangqi, Professor Qian Dahong, and other teacher representatives attended the meeting. The conference was hosted by Professor Qian Dahong.
Secretary Chen Jiangping delivered the opening speech. He first congratulated the official establishment of the Institute of Advanced Medical Chips and elaborated on the original intention and mission of the institute.
Subsequently, Professor Yan Guozheng from the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Associate Researcher Sui Xiaohong, Associate Professor Huang Qiu, and Dai Chenyun respectively presented on the topics of non-invasive detection technology and diagnosis and treatment system for gastrointestinal medical information, intelligent electrical stimulation neural modulation, high-energy photon counting, and artificial spinal cord for functional replacement in spinal cord injury patients. They detailed their research on core components in the field of medical devices, major achievements, and the next phase of research direction.
Professor Qian Dahong presented the construction plan of the Institute of Advanced Medical Chips, covering the construction background, overall positioning, development goals, construction vision, team members, and operating model.
Professor Sun Junfeng from the School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Assistant Professor Yu You from the School of Biomedical Engineering at ShanghaiTech University, Professor Xu Jian from the Frontier Science Center for Brain Science and Brain-Machine Integration at Zhejiang University, Assistant Professor Lu Xuyang from the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute, and Professor Liu Xiao from the School of Information Science and Engineering at Fudan University shared their team's research achievements in the field of chips and sensors. They specifically discussed their research outcomes in areas such as transcranial ultrasound stimulation technology, flexible bioelectronics, closed-loop peripheral neural interface chips, silicon-based integrated circuits, and biomedical applications.
