June 7, 2023 - The summary and commendation meeting for the eighth session of our university's China International "Internet Plus" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the mobilization meeting for the ninth session, were successfully held in the New Administration Building B418 of the Minhang Campus. The University's President, Deputy Party Secretary Ding Kuiling, Deputy Dean of Education Wu Jingyi, leaders from relevant departments and faculties, and representatives of awarded teachers and students attended the conference. The meeting was hosted by Xiong Zhenhua, the Party Secretary of the Student Innovation Center.

Wu Jingyi reviewed the work of the eighth session of our university's competition and deployed the preparatory work for the ninth session. Ding Kuiling made a summary and mobilization speech.

The School of Biomedical Engineering achieved breakthrough results in the eighth China International "Internet Plus" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, securing 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze in the international projects of the higher education main track. The project "A Clinical-Level AI System for Diagnosis and Treatment Evaluation of Rectal Cancer", guided by Associate Professor Jin Cheng, won a gold award and stood out in the championship competition, achieving the "Third Prize", which is the best historical result Shanghai Jiao Tong University has obtained in this competition. A graduate student team, guided by Associate Professor Song Ping, won a gold award with the project "icDiagnostics: AI Intelligent Cancer Diagnostic Technology". A graduate student team, guided by Associate Professor Luo Jie, won a silver award with the project "Radiotherapy based on Novel Contrast Agent and Fast Imaging". A undergraduate team, guided by Professor Ding Xianting, won a bronze award with the project "ProteinPrecision Single-Cell High-Throughput Multiplex Proteomic Analytical Toolbox and Translational Application".

At the summary and commendation meeting, the School of Biomedical Engineering was awarded the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advanced Collective Award", Secretary Chen Jiangping received the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advanced Individual Award", and multiple teachers including Jin Cheng, Song Ping, Ding Xianting, and Luo Jie were recognized as "Outstanding Teachers in Innovation and Entrepreneurship"
