Record-Breaking Achievements for Shanghai Jiao Tong University at the 9th National Undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design Competition

The 9th National Undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design Competition, held from July 22 to 26 at Hainan University, has once again proven to be a hotbed of innovation and talent, with over 10,000 participants from 250 universities across the country. Among them, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) has made a remarkable impact, showcasing the prowess of its students and faculty in the field of biomedical engineering.

SJTU fielded a formidable team of over 80 students from undergraduate to doctoral levels, with 32 teams competing in various categories. The results are nothing short of spectacular, with an award-winning rate of 90.6%. The university secured 7 first prizes, 11 second prizes, and 11 third prizes, in addition to being honored with the "Outstanding Organization Award." This marks the first time that SJTU has swept all categories of the competition, with the number of first prizes ranking second in the nation and setting a new historical high for second and third prizes.
