Inner Mongolia Clinical Medicine Translation Innovation Forum

The "Inner Mongolia Clinical Medicine Transformation Innovation Forum" was successfully held on January 23, 2021. It was jointly organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Inner Mongolia Research Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Biomedical Engineering, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Hospital. This event was hosted with a combination of online and offline and received great attention from related industries and departments.

Leaders that attended this forum include: Zhang Zhikuan, Deputy Director of Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Department; Wu Shengyuan, Second Inspector of Inner Mongolia Health Commission; Sun Dejun, Dean of People's Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; Dong Fanli, Executive Dean of Inner Mongolia Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Shanghai Ji Bo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Biomedical Engineering, Jiao Tong University; Gao Weiqiang, Dean of the Med-X Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Gu Hongchen, Associate Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and experts and professors from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, People's Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and more than 100 people including clinicians from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in the medical field of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region attended the meeting.

During the one-day forum, experts and professors from Shanghai Jiao Tong University explained their early screening of major diseases such as biomedical instruments, tumors, biomaterials and tissue engineering, medical imaging and information, surgical navigation and surgical robots, neuroscience and engineering, Research results in the fields of systems biomedicine and disease biology. The transformation and application of these research results can become a powerful tool for the majority of medical workers to overcome major diseases and solve interdisciplinary problems. Through the forum to communicate and discuss with the vast number of doctors and scientific researchers in the People’s Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is expected to find a foothold for cooperation between the two parties, break the inherent barrier between basic medicine, clinical and public health, and open up new diagnosis and treatment, technologies and methods, and create a revolutionary new way.
