Biography

Yiping Du is the ZhiYuan Professor of Biomedical Engineering. His primary research interest is in the development of novel magnetic resonance imaging technology, including real-time imaging in therapy, 4D imaging of the moving organs in the chest and abdomen, and quantitative imaging of the brain. These techniques can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. He is particularly interested in methods for integrating real-time imaging and 4D MRI with medical robots, radiation therapy, and interventional procedures. These advance imaging techniques are developed through novel pulse sequences, image reconstruction algorithms, deep-learning neural networks, image processing algorithms, etc.
