Biography

Dr. Chenxi Hu is a Tenure-Track Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Hu earned his Bachelor degree in 2009 in Electrical Engineering at Hunan University, Hunan, China, and subsequently went to the USA to pursue a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Auburn University in Alabama. During the time, he also completed a Master degree in Applied Mathematics. In 2015, Hu started his postdoctoral training with Professor Dana Peters at the Department of Radiology in Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Hu joined SJTU in June 2019. The primary research focus of Dr. Hu has been on development of novel MRI techniques, including advanced pulse sequences, image reconstruction algorithms, and intelligent image processing methods to improve clinical value and cost-effectiveness of cardiac MRI. Hu has published more than 10 peer-reviewed papers as the first/corresponding author and more than 30 scientific abstracts, and served as a reviewer for several major MRI and clinical imaging journals. Hu is the Winner of 2018 ISMRM W. S. Moore Young Investigator Award, based on his work on improving motion robustness of the dark-blood turbo-spin-echo sequence. Hu is a member of ISMRM, SCMR, and IEEE.
