Biography

Lichi Zhang is the Assistant Professor appointed in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He obtained a BE in Network Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2008, and a Ph.D. in computer science from York University in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he successively held post-doctoral positions in Med-X Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University and BRIC of UNC. He joined the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2017.

His main research field is computer vision and medical image analysis. His primary research interest is to combine artificial intelligence technologies such as computer vision and machine learning to achieve segmentation and registration of multi-modal medical images, as well as the extraction and analysis of functional and structural features of brain images, and apply them to assisted diagnosis of related diseases. He has published in more than 50 academic journals and conference papers including Medical Image Analysis, Human Brain Mapping and Pattern Recognition.
