Biography

Dr. Zhao received his Ph.D. degree from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2020 and then joined the School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is dedicated to developing precision diagnostic, cryoablation, and thermal ablation devices for intraluminal interventions. His research specifically addresses bioheat and mass transfer, multiphysics coupling mechanisms, and precise thermal energy control. Until now, he has published papers in leading journals in the field, including IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering (TBME), iScience, Medical Physics, and the International Journal of Hyperthermia. He has served as Principal Investigator on projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Shanghai Jiao Tong University medical-engineering interdisciplinary project, and have also participated as a core team member in major NSFC projects and the National Key R&D Program of China.
