Dr. Bai received his Ph.D. degree in precision instruments and mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in January 2001.From Feb. 2002 to Mar 2003, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Biomedical Instrument Institute in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, where he was mainly engaged in the research of physical techniques for tumor therapy. He is currently an associate professor with the School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His current research focuses on therapy ultrasound, the accurate controlled release of energy delivery, intelligent medical instruments and the standards of medical devices.

Dr. Bai is currently a professor and associate dean with the School of Biomedical Engineering at SJTU, the deputy director of Shanghai Med-X Engineering Center for physical therapy, and the deputy director of the institute of biomedical instruments. In January 2001, he received his Ph.D. degree in precision instruments and machinery from Harbin Institute of Technology. His research works have been focused on HIFU with phased array, thermal synergistic targeted drug combination therapy, radiofrequency thermotherapy, and the technological standards for medical devices. He has established cooperation with more than 20 companies and over ten hospitals, and has presided the Key National Technology R&D Program, "973" National Project and NSFC Project. At present, He mainly undertakes and participates in the National Digital Medical Special Project, Shanghai Science and Technology Project, the construction of Shanghai Engineering Center, and the industrialization of research achievements. He has won Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, the Chinese Cancer Association Technology Award and so on.
