was established in March 2020. Zhongshan Hospital is a public institution affiliated to the National Health Commission and a comprehensive teaching hospital affiliated to Fudan University. It’s established in 1937, and one of the earliest large-scale general hospitals founded and managed by Chinese people, belonging to the National Shanghai Medical College and is named in memory of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, a pioneer of the Chinese Democratic Revolution. After the liberation, it was once called Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai First Medical College and Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Medical University. In 2001, its name was changed to Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is in the first batch of three-level of first class hospitals in Shanghai. In the future, the clinical joint research center will cooperate with the Department of Colorectal Surgery of Zhongshan Hospital to develop mature surgical robotics into clinical applications.
